Chelsea: Eden Hazard is expected to return to the starting lineup after an impressive cameo in the win over Huddersfield last week. Cesc Fabregas remains unavailble, whilst Mateo Kovacic could come in for Ross Barkley in midfield.
Arsenal: Petr Cech is likely to retain his place in goal, but the main concern comes at left-back. Ainsley Maitland-Niles played there against Manchester City but suffered a fractured fibula which has sidelined him for up to six weeks. Sead Kolasinac remains unavailable, though there is a chance Nacho Monreal will be fit in time to plug the gap. Lucas Torreira could be handed his first start in midfield at the expense of Matteo Guendouzi.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri:
"It has been very difficult, but in this season it has been for every club especially the most important clubs with the World Cup, with friendly matches in Oz, Dublin and France.
"We started to work together ten days ago. In my opinion I think in two months we can be a very good team.
"For everyone it is difficult against Manchester City. I think Emery is a very good coach.
"He won three times the Europa League, three times in France and I think Arsenal this season will be competitive and fight for a place in the Champions League."
Arsenal boss Unai Emery:
"We need to keep our personality, our mentality. Against [Manchester] City, the team kept their ideas, kept their spirit in the game for the full 90 minutes even when we were losing.
"That was a good thing... I want us to continue with this work and to be competitive for 90 minutes, but with a better performance both individually and collectively."
