An Odsonne Edouard strike and a Richard Tait own goal saw Celtic run out comfortable winners against high flyers Motherwell. They remain ahead of rivals Rangers on goal difference after they also won 2-0 away to Livingston. Nigerian star Joe Aribo and marksman Alfredo Morelos saw the Gers pick up all 3 points.
Elsewhere, Aberdeen moved up to 3rd after they came from behind the beat Ross County 3-1. Hearts recorded their first home win since March after they destroyed St Mirren 5-1. Christian Doidge netted a hat-trick as Hibs won 4-1 away to St Johnstone in Perth, and Hamilton squandered a 2 goal lead and got a man sent off as they drew 2-2 with Ayrshire outfit Kilmarnock.
This all means that St Mirren remain bottom of the league with St Johnstone occupying the playoff position. Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Motherwell, Kilmarnock and Ross County all make up the top 6.
