The charges included displaying an 'illicit banner' and 'blocking stairways'.
The banner that was displayed during the game portrayed a man in a paramilitary outfit and thus broke UEFA rules, which prohibit "any messages of a political, ideological, religious, offensive or provocative nature."
Celtic are no strangers to disciplinary sanctions from UEFA, having now received 11 sanctions in just six years due to supporter miscodnuct during European games.
Following the charge, Celtic spoke out and criticised "a small minority of the crowd". and announced that the corner of the stadium where the offence was committed, the home of the club's 'Green Brigade', would be closed for two games.
That section of the stadium was empty as Celtic drew 0-0 with Rosenborg on Wednesday in the Champions League third qualifying round.
