Cañas promised to play "with heart" against Tottenham

"We will play with heart and we will do everything possible on the pitch," Cañas said, quoted by the agency Tanjug, before embarking on the journey to London for the game in Group B of the Champions League.
A win over the current Champions League runners-up would be a great opportunity for the Serbs to move to the knockout stages of the competition.
"Would a draw be good? Everything positive is good, with a good mentality we can even achieve a favourable result. We know what this game means," Cañas declared, who has been playing for Red Star since last June.
The former Swansea player considers that his current team will find it difficult against the Premier League side, despite the fact that so far they have scored just one point in the previous two rounds, losing to Bayern Munich (2-7) and drawing with Olympiacos (2-2).
"It is clear that Tottenham play in the strongest league in the world. Everything is faster, more intense than the other leagues. We are going to fight, run and compete, and we will see what happens. We have ambitions and we know our capabilities," he indicated.
"Tottenham is one of the best clubs in the world. We'll have to be very cautious," he warned, upon remembering that the team were in the Champions League final last season.
According to Cañas, tomorrow the Red Star players must be "focused and compact", especially in midfield. Red Star beat Olympiacos in their last game (3-1).
The Serbians are now in second place in the group with three points, behind Bayern Munich, and ahead of Tottenham and Olympiacos, who both have one point.
