Can Lewandowski keep his scoring form going against the Scots?

Poland travel to take on Scotland at Hampden Park on Thursday knowing that victory could guarantee them a place in next summer’s European Championships should Republic of Ireland fail to beat world champions Germany in Dublin on the same evening.
Adam Nawalka’s side have scored a hugely impressive 29 goals throughout the qualification campaign and will, undoubtedly, pose a serious threat to Gordon Strachan’s side
However, the man that the Scots must stop if they are to stand any chance of denting Polish plans for progress is Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
The 27-year-old forward has been in sensational form for both club and country in recent weeks, having scored an incredible 16 goals in his last eight outings – including 12 goals in his last four matches.
Lewandowski, too, is the top scorer in qualifying for Euro 2016 with 10 goals – two ahead of Germany’s Thomas Muller – and all eyes will be on the 27-year-old Polish star when Nawalka’s side visit Hampden Park.
Scotland had no answer to Muller when Strachan’s side met Germany in Glasgow last month, with the 26-year-old Bayern Munich man netting twice in a 3-2 victory for the world champions and the Scots will be fearing a similar outcome when Muller’s club team-mate takes to the field on Thursday.
Lewandowski is, understandably, brimming with confidence at present and the 9/2 (5.50) quote from bet365 for the 27-year-old striker to open the scoring looks to be outstanding value, while the same firm offer a supremely generous 6/4 (2.50) quote that Lewandowski scores at any time against the Scots.
