    Let's clear up the VAR situation. The ref had to go to monitor because had he not given Shaw's foul on Gudmundsson, VAR was telling Friend that for him Brady deserved a red for DOGSO. In a DOGSO situation, if there is a previous foul. the DOGSO (or yellow for breaking down a promising attack) is rescinded. Friend thought Shaw's tackle was a foul and so he punished that challenge accordingly (with a yellow) and rescinded Brady's card. Perfectly done.
