Burnley to re-sign Barton

The 34-year-old had been without a club since his conract with Rangers was mutually terminated after a training ground altercation with team-mate Andy Halliday and a dispute with manager Mark Warburton.
Today, Burnley Football Club confirmed that the former England international midfielder had agreed a deal with the club and will officially become a Burnley player once again, subject to international clearance.
Barton enjoyed a successful single season at Burnley, winning the club's Player of the Year award in a team which went 23 games undefeated in the Championship following a 3-0 defeat to promotion rivals Hull City on 26 December 2015.
