Burnley interested in signing Liverpool defender

John Flanagan was one of Liverpool's key figures in the 2013-14 season when the Reds nearly won the Premier League title. However, over the past two years the full-back has struggled terribly with injuries and has struggled for first-team football at his current club.
Burnley are said to be offering the 23-year-old a chance to move out on loan and become a first-team regular and Jurgen Klopp has also admitted he may need to let fringe players leave to avoid discontent in the Liverpool camp.
Despite Klopp's wish to trim down his squad, Flanagan still appears to be in the German's plans for the future. Back in March, Flanagan signed a new three-year deal with the Reds and he also captained Liverpool in their 3-2 defeat to Southampton on March 20.
Only time will tell to see whether Flanagan can get over his injury woes and reach the heights he hit in the 2013-14 season.
