Brazil to sack Dorival with immediate effect: reports

Dorival Junior's departure from Brazil is seemingly just a matter of time. According to 'UOL Esporte', the Brazilian Football Confederation have decided to dismiss the 62-year-old from his position as head coach.
The verdict comes just days after the 'Canarinha' suffered an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Argentina in the South American qualifiers, decisive to mark Dorival's downfall with the Brazil national team.
It is understood that a final meeting will take place to finalise the process, though the question as to who will take over the squad remains unknown. According to the same report, the CBF are yet to make contact with any manager.
Carlo Ancelotti remains the hottest name to take the reins of the five-time World Cup winners after reports informed that Brazil are keen on having the Italian in charge for the 2026 showpiece in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
