Benzema disappears from Jeddah without explanation

Karim Benzema's situation in Saudi Arabia has changed radically in just a few months. The French player arrived excitedly at Al-Ittihad, but has now disappeared from the city, without the club's permission and without anyone getting over it.

According to 'Al-Riyadiya', Benzema has allegedly left Jeddah when he was left out of the squad for the match against Al-Tai, which has finally been postponed to February.

Benzema did not train on Thursday and Friday and so did not make the squad for what was supposed to be the last game before the Asia Cup break. The same media outlet reports that the Saudi club do not even know if Benzema will return to Saudi Arabia to complete the second leg of the season.

It all started with the defeat to Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr as Al-Ittihad fans blamed Benzema for the poor performance in the match and throughout the season. The former Real Madrid striker shut down his social networks, fulfilling the first step of his demise.
