Benzema and Mendy out as Real Madrid down to bare bones

Carlo Ancelotti has only got 12 footballers in the first team available due to the international break and the injuries to Karim Benzema and Ferland Mendy. That means Ancelotti and his coaching staff are paying close attention to those who are at the training ground.
This Thursday, Eden Hazard and Nacho Fernandez were given a specific training plan and the rest of the teammates will also go through the same. The pair did lots of work in the gym and on the pitch and they looked good.
Benzema and Mendy are continuing with their respective recovery processes and will be, barring any mishaps, be ready to play in the La Liga game with Celta Vigo on Saturday 2nd April at 18:30 CET.
The international break sees 11 players with their respective national teams. Dani Carvajal (Spain), Luka Jovic (Serbia) and Luka Modric (Croatia) are playing in friendlies.
Gareth Bale (Wales), Federico Valverde (Uruguay), Casemiro, Vinicius, Rodrygo and Militao (Brazil) and David Alaba (Austria) are involved in qualification matches for the Qatar World Cup. Finally, Eduardo Camavinga was called up for the French Under 21s for the game in European qualifying.
