Bayern are five years unbeaten in Spain

Bayern Munich's last defeat in Spain was in April 2017 when they were beaten 4-2 by Real Madrid in the quarter finals of the Champions League, after conceding three goals in extra time.
Since then, Bayern have played four matches in Spain. They won two and drew two, scoring eight goals in the process and conceding six.
This season, they overcame Barcelona 0-3 in the group stage of this year's competition, and in the quarter finals of the 2017/18 edition, they beat Sevilla 1-2.
Their other two opponents were Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid and on both occasions they drew. 2-2 was the score at the Bernabeu in the 2017/18 semifinals, and 1-1 at the Wanda in the group stages last season.
This streak comes after a 15 year run, between 2002 and 2017, in which Bayern only won one match in 14 attempts. They lost eleven of them.
In this period, their only triumph came in the 0-3 win over Barcelona in the semi-finals of the 2013 competition, in which Robben and Muller scored. Pique added the third with an own goal.
Since their first visit to Spain for the Cup Winners' Cup in 1968, when they drew 1-1 with Valencia at the Mestalla, they have played 30 matches in the country with a record of 8 wins, 7 draws, and 15 defeats.
