Barcelona to hold title parade on Friday if they beat Espanyol

Mossos d'Esquadra coordinator Joan Salamana confirmed the club's plans in an interview with RAC1 on Thursday, stating that the potential celebration would take place on Friday evening.
"This is something we had already anticipated, whether celebrations happened on Wednesday or possibly today (Thursday)," Salamana said. "A security operation is in place in coordination with the Guardia Urbana, should the parade go ahead tomorrow."
When asked whether the parade could be held jointly with the women's team — who have already won their league title and face Lyon in the Champions League final on 24 May in Lisbon — Salamana noted that security services are not involved in those decisions.
"The organiser of the parade is the club itself. They submit the request to Barcelona City Council, which then forwards it to the relevant authorities, including the Guardia Urbana and the Mossos," he added.
The last time Barcelona lifted the La Liga title, in 2023, the men's and women's teams celebrated together, with two separate buses departing from Camp Nou and parading through the city to the Arc de Triomf.
Barcelona will be crowned champions if they defeat Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium on Thursday. Should they fail to do so, they will have another chance to seal the title on Sunday at 19.00 CEST, when they host Villarreal at Montjuic.
