Setién's men trained on Saturday with news of the youth team players in the session and on a list of 16 players to play against Alavés. Riqui Puig, Ansu Fati, Araujo, and Arnau Tenas are all called up.
However, Setién was in the limelight for one of the most noteworthy moments of the session, as he arrived a few minutes late on to the pitch when he is usually the first ready.
Some 19 players participated in a training a session where the Brazilian Arthur Melo wasn't there, who did specific work in the club's facilities. The player, with his hours numbered at Barcelona and his mind set on Juventus, his next destination.
Piqué and Rakitic, banned, plus the injured Griezmann, Dembélé, and Umtiti are out. Arthur will also not be in the squad. Messi will be there, leading a long-faced team after succumbing in the race for the league title.
