Laporta has met with Valencia president, Murthy. The Barca president was accompanied by right hand man, Rafa Yuste, in their enquiry about two possible new signings.
Barcelona are interested in Gaya and Carlos Soler. Both are due to end their contracts at the Mestalla in a year's time and due to economic necessity, Murthy could well be interested in selling some of his top players.
Because of this, according to 'Jigantes', a meeting between the two clubs took place on Tuesday lunchtime after the two club presidents were seen leaving a restaurant at around 17:00.
Should the deal go through, it will satisfy all parties. This is because Murthy recently revealed in comments to 'Superdeporte' that both players want to leave the club.
Gaya has been on Barca's agenda for a couple of years now as he is seen as the natural substitute for Jordi Alba. Carlos Soler, is an international player and his performances have increasingly caught attentions in recent seasons.
