Barca wonderkid Yamal was given a standing ovation at the Bernabeu

Lamine Yamal stressed after the 3-3 draw against Brazil that Spain showed that "they can compete against any team", while defining the match as "beautiful for the fans".

"It was a nice match for the fans. Happy because the team has shown that it can compete against anyone," said the 16-year-old player on 'Teledeporte'.

Lamine Yamal was one of the highlights of the match, earning a standing ovation from the crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu when he was substituted despite being only 16 years old (he will be 17 in July) and playing against a historic team like Brazil. "I try to play relaxed and not to let what's going on outside affect me," he said.

His performance earned him the praise of Luis de la Fuente. "Yamal has had a brilliant performance, but I like to be cautious because I think that's the best advice you can give to someone with such good talent. Caution, he's a very intelligent boy, he knows how to manage these situations.
