Ferran Torres has become, in Rodrigo's absence, the player with the capacity to create the most danger for Valencia. His good performances this season have attracted the attention of Barcelona.
The footballer will be without a contract by 2021 and neither he nor the club have agreed to extend it, but his termination clause is set at 100€M.
Meanwhile, Barcelona is conscious that he is a player with a good presence on the field and, in spite of his youth, he's already become a key player for his club.
They would also take advantage of the fact that Ferran Torres works with the same agency that Pedri, Leaderbrock Sports, who they're in permanent contact with. The already established relationship means it could be easier for him to join the Camp Nou team.
However, the amount that Barcelona wants to offer is far from his buyout clause. Mundo Deportivo reported that the club is willing to invest 35 million euros for the 100 million euros it is worth.
This is not the first time that Barcelona has looked at Ferran Torres. The source assures that two years ago, when he would have only cost around 8 million, they had already showed their interest, but it was too soon to sign him.
The fact that his contract ends in 2021 may make Valencia sit down and negotiate his departure this summer. All this in order not to let out for free a footballer who is called to lead the attack.
