Barca in the spotlight: "With who they signed, they should have won the Champions League"

Barca lost 0-3 at the Camp Nou against Bayern Munich. Even before the game, the Catalan side knew that they were not going to progress to the last-16, as Inter had beaten Viktoria Plzen.

Xavi's players' image was visibly damaged becuase of what happened against Bayern. In fact, a lot of fans chose to leave at half-time.

It was not only Barca fans which have criticised the game, but some of the club's legends as well. For example, Henrik Larsson said to 'C More' that it was "disappointing" that they had not gone through to the last-16.

"If you're at a club like Barca, you hope that you get out of the group and that you get to the final and win. With the signings they made this summer, they should have been able to get through and be real contenders in the Champions League, like years ago".

In agreement with this, Laudrup said on the Danish television channel 'TV3+' that "When you think of the signings they made and the club's economy compared with last season, I don't know if it's a disaster, but it is a footballing robbery at least..." he revealed.
