Barca alert as Umtiti could finally make Lecce debut

Up to now, Samuel Umtiti has not played for Lecce. The defender has yet to make his Lecce debut after having ended up at the Italian side last August. 

The central defender, on loan from Barcelona, went out on loan this summer in search of game time in Serie A. However, after eight matchdays, coach Marco Baroni has not counted on the Frenchman. 

In a press conference, the Lecce coach confirmed in a press conference that he counts on him for this season. The acid test will come against Roma this weekend. According to 'Sport', the Lecce coach will play him alongside two other central defenders. He will try and see how his fitness is in a game of such magnitude like the one against Jose Mourinho's side.

What is clear is that the footballer will end the season in Italy. The Catalans are not thinking of signing the player in January or loaning him out somewhere else because there are no clubs to send him to.
