'Bale's goal? Of the 100 times you try that, it goes in once'

Toshack said: "The goal scored by Bale the other day...Of the 100 times you try that, it goes in once and luckily for Madrid that happened the other day. What happened there was a Playstation goal. Normally it does not end up in the net.''
The Wales international dug deep to produce a masterpiece, that was absolutely crucial in Real Madrid's 3-1 victory over Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Toshack does however, understand the dilemma that Real manager Zinedine Zidane will have with Bale, after the Welshman struggled for regular playing time and a starting spot this season.
He said: ''It's very difficult to put himself in the coach's shoes, he has not put him in ten consecutive games, it's very difficult for Zidane...Every Real Madrid match is life or death.''
"Zizou can not give him opportunities to pick up the pace, and you can understand Zidane a bit if you see the games Bale missed due to injury," he continued.
Toshack understands that the Welshman has not enjoyed the easiest career path in Madrid. He said: "He [Bale] had some rare injuries, if you analyse his injuries, they are not normal.''
The question remains whether Bale would be able to shine in another club and there is no doubt in Toshack's mind: "If he were in another team, we would continue to see Gareth Bale as a world star, without a doubt.''
