Bale doubled Wales' lead to draw level with Ian Rush

Having already opened the scoring early on in the China Cup clash, Bale repeated the feat less than 20 minutes later as the visitors pounced on some poor defending.

Sam Vokes nipped in to intercept some pondeorus passing from the Chinese backline and he played in Bale who duly rolled the ball into the bottom corner to double Wales' lead and his tally for the day.

The goal takes Bale to 28 goals for his country, level with legend Rush who holds the all-time record for the Welsh national team.

Bale took 68 games to reach the tally, some five fewer than it took Rush.
