Atletico's stadium faces partial closure after fan had knife confiscated

Atletico and Real Madrid drew 1-1 in a derby marred by controversy because, in the middle of the second half, the referee ordered the match to be stopped due to the throwing of several objects at Thibaut Courtois from the back of his goal. With a 15-minute break in between, the match resumed with some expulsions and identifications in the stands where members of the Atletico ultras tend to be located.
'El Chiringuito', in the early hours of Sunday morning, published an exclusive image of a knife that was taken by the police from one of the radicals who threw lighters and bottles at the former Atletico goalkeeper. The program also interviewed Jose Luis Tucho, inspector of the national security corps and assigned to the coordination, in this matter, of the confrontation for the 8th round of La Liga in the capital.
Asked directly if one of the objects seized was a weapon, he replied: “It could be”. “Today was a complicated day, everything came together. There was suspension of the match by the referee, threat of suspension," he said.
"We got together, in the dressing room, all the parties involved, technical staff, players, him -the delegate- and myself. I told them that if they talked to the supporters and they listened to reason, the match could go ahead,” he concluded.
