Aspas had to correct a journalist about Spain's next opponents

There was all to play for on Monday, with three Group B sides in with a chance of making the last 16. Iran and Portugal were battling it out for a place in the next round, while Spain needed to avoid defeat to Morocco. Therefore, when late goals were scored in both games, it took a while to figure out who was finishing where.

Portugal, who had been leading 0-1 for most of their game, conceded a late penalty and had to settle for a draw, while Spain scored a late equaliser to salvage a 2-2 draw of their own.

These results gave Spain a first-place finish, ahead of Portugal in second, meaning that 'La Roja' face Russia next, while Portugal take on Uruguay. 

However, when it came time to interview Spanish goalscorer Iago Aspas, one journalist made a mix-up, and the striker had to step in to make a correction.

When he was asked what he thought of his next opponent, Uruguay, he did a double take and corrected the journalist's mistake. "Portugal drew, no?" he replied. "I think we finish first, don't we? We're playing Russia."

The journalist accepted the correction and quickly moved on. Smooth...
