Alli confronted the United midfielder saying: ''Go retire with a Zimmer frame.'' To which Young retaliated: ''When you win the Premier League let me know.''
However, Young told 'Sportsmail' that the pair have put the incident behind them as they join forces for international duty with Gareth Southgate's England squad.
The 32-year-old said: ''We had a laugh and a joke about it. People say he has to take that sort of stuff out of his game but he's one of those players who plays on the edge. He winds people up, that's just him.''
When the two clashed back in October, Young had been hoping to exploit that aspect of the 22-year-old's game, but Alli showed a degree of maturity in not immediately reacting to the bait.
As for the England squad, the United midfielder proved that the duo had buried the hatchet. He said: ''Dele's a fantastic talent. He's shown in previous get-togethers and the last few days what a talent he can be, and what a talent he currently is.''
He concluded: ''We have all put 100 per cent into training. There's pace everywhere you look in this squad but we're not going to Russia to play on the counter-attack - we're going to try to win.''
