Arteta defends himself against criticism: "The situation was taken out of context, it's not fair"

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has defended himself against criticism of his behaviour on the touchline during the match against Newcastle, which ended in a goalless draw. The Basque coach cried foul for "two scandalous penalties" after the match at a press conference.
But that was not the end of it. Speaking ahead of the FA Cup tie against Oxford United, the Arsenal manager once again defended himself against those accusing him of misbehaving with Newcastle boss Eddie Howe and the referees of the Premier League game.
"I try to do the best I can for this club, to defend it, to promote it, to play with the passion that I think should be played. Every game is special and every coach behaves very differently depending on the circumstances," Arteta said in the press room.
He added: "You can't take that situation out of context. That's not fair, that's me! Here and on the pitch, for better and for worse. I will always try to be better. If I have to change something, believe me, I will look in the mirror and I will change it very quickly".
