Arsene Wenger travelled to France over the weekend to officially open a stadium named in his honour. 'Stade Arsene Wenger', with a capacity of 500 is now the home of USL Dippinheim, who are based near Strasbourg where Wenger was born.
Dippinheim club president Peter Troeesch said: "He deserves to have one in every village in Alsace and France."
Wenger himself commented saying that he hopes the honour will encourage youngsters in the area to follow their dreams.
"Anything can happen. When I was a kid, I never imagined becoming the manager of a big club. So if it only contributes to that it's already good, " Wenger said.
