Arsenal name Odegaard captain for the 2022-23 season

Before the friendly between Arsenal and Sevilla, the English club gave a very special news through their social networks. The club wanted to announce the name of their new captain.
"We are delighted to announce that Martin Odegaard has been named our new men’s first-team captain," Arsenal said.
Despite making just 60 official appearances for the Gunners, Arsenal explain why: "The 23-year-old has made a huge impact since arriving at Emirates Stadium from Real Madrid in January 2021, initially on loan, and has gone on to play 60 times, scoring nine goals.
The club stresses that Odegaard already knows what it's like to wear the armband, having captained Norway since March 2021. Experience in leading, therefore, is not lacking.
"We wish him every success as our captain," the Arsenal statement closes. A new era is beginning at the Emirates Stadium and Arteta wants him to be the visible face of his 'new' team.
