Arda Turan: the worst signing of the decade could be making a comeback

Arda Turan is back in the news at Barça. Known for being one of the worst signings Barcelona has made this century could be forced to return to Spain.
However, no one seems too alarmed about it Barcelona, as he would not return to take part in the squad: the club and the player are discussing ways to terminate the contract earlier... But meanwhile, he will have to be in Barcelona.
The player reached an agreement with Istanbul Basaksehir, where he went from strength to strength and ended his time with a lot of controversy and shocking behaviour for a professional athlete, which in turn lead him to a contract termination.
As he remains tied to Barcelona until June 2020, the Turkish player could be forced to return if he does not find a team before then. Both the midfielder and Barcelona will try to prevent this from happening and, in fact, Arda Turan came very close to reaching an agreement with Galatasaray in the last few days.
"Our footballer Arda Turan met the president of Basaksehir, Goksel Gumusdag, and asked to leave the club to open a new page in his career. Gumusdag responded positively to his request and therefore Turan's contract was cancelled by mutual agreement," explained the Istanbul team in a statement.
The Ottoman went to Istanbul Basaksehir in January 2018 and signed a two-and-a-half-year loan agreement, so Barcelona no longer had him. However, he ended up with problems in the Turkish club and ended up resigning early.
Arda Turan arrived at Barça in 2015 after becoming a big star at Atletico Madrid. Despite the fact that the club signed him for a relatively low amount -34 million euros-, he was never convincing and he passed through the team without any shame or glory both with Luis Enrique and Valverde.
At the age of 32, Turan will leave Barça with 55 matches played and, of course, 15 goals and ten assists. Although his numerical performance was not bad at all, his lack of confidence cost him his departure from the club.
