Ancelotti on Rodrygo's anger: "He wanted to score and I wanted to win the game"

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti praised the "quality" and attacking versatility of Rodrygo Goes, who scored both goals in the 2-1 win at Sevilla, and said they want to "finish the season well".
He also admitted that, "without Vinicius -injured as the Italian announced-, it was not one of his team's best games".
"We want to finish the season well. Because of the quality we have, we can manage the games well. Without Vinicius it wasn't one of our best games, but the midfielders managed (the game) very well and we controlled it," said the Italian coach after the game.
On the improvement of the Spanish-Brazilian Rodrygo in this part of the season, Ancelotti stressed that "after the World Cup he has had a leading role, he has made the difference many times", and emphasised that "he has extraordinary quality, he can play all along the front of the attack, both on the right and in the centre, where he suffers a little more in the clashes, but in the transitions there he creates more danger than as a winger".
Carletto said he liked his team against Sevilla and that "in the first half we could have gone more down Lucas Vazquez' flank, with (Fede) Valverde there, and Rodrygo missed a clear chance".
"The possession was good. Rodrygo's substitution? Everyone has their own objective. He wanted to score (the third) and I wanted to win the game," argued the Real Madrid coach.
