Carlo Ancelotti was following Mario Martin, from the Real Madrid reserves, very closely during the World Cup break. After Auerlien Tchouameni was ruled out, the academy player will be in the squad for the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.

On Monday, Real Madrid confirmed that David Alaba and Aurelien Tchouameni will be out of this week's upcoming Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. Both players picked up a calf injury.

The Frenchman's injury opened the possiblity for Mario Martin, who has been one of Real Madrid Castilla's star players this season in the third division.

According to 'Marca', Carlo Ancelotti was following the academy player very closely and got very good reviews of how he was playing. Therefore, he was in no doubt over calling him up for the Super Cup squad.

Mario Martin has played 12 times in Spain's third division this season and has got three assists.
