Everton have started much stronger than in other Premier League seasons and much of the credit has gone to James Rodriguez, who has made a spectacular start.
Carlo Ancelotti spoke about it in 'France Football' and the Italian was surprised to compare him to a Ronaldo Nazario who was overweight when he arrived at Milan.
"When I signed James, everyone was worried about his physical condition and how he would do in England with the intensity of the Premiership. In the first four games he appeared seven times. He has more assists and goals than runs," said the Italian.
Ancelotti could not think of anything else but to compare him with Ronaldo Nazario, who signed for Milan when he was overweight.
"When I was at Milan, we signed Ronaldo. He weighed 100 kilos and before the first game I told him that he couldn't play like that, that he had to lose weight. He said, 'What do you want me to do on the pitch, score or run? If it's to run, put me on the bench; if it's to score goals, put me in the team'. I played with him and he didn't run, but he scored two goals. It's the same with James," concluded the coach responsible for the Colombian's resurrection.
