We take a look at everything you should know about Poland ahead of this summer's World Cup.

Key player: Robert Lewandowski - The Bayern Munich star scored 16 goals in qualifying as Poland powered their way to the tournament, with hat-tricks against Denmark, Romania and Armenia helping his side to big wins.

Qualifying:

A strong qualifying campaign saw Poland defeated only once as they won eight and drew one to finish five points clear of second-placed Denmark in Group E.

Last time out:

2014 World Cup:

Poland did not appear at the 2014 World Cup after finishing fourth behind England, Ukraine and Montenegro in qualifying, with a return of just 13 points from 10 games.

History:

Poland have featured at seven World Cups, with their best finishes being third place in 1974 and 1982. They come into this one following a length absence, having last qualified in 2006.
