Crisitano Ronaldo left Man United after criticising the club publicly in an interview with Piers Morgan. It wasn't the best way to do it and he's received a lot of criticism.
Andrea Pirlo wanted to stand up for his ex-player, who he coached at Juventus for a while. The now Fatih Karagumruk manager was full of praise for the Portuguese man in the 'Daily Mail'.
"Cristiano is a world footballing icon, he works the same now at 35 as when he was young. For me it was easy to work with him. He was a good guy, very professional. He wanted to play every game and score in every one", he said.
For the ex-Juve boss, the fact that CR7 ended his stint at United in a bad way doesn't effect his memories of the striker at all. "Maybe he had a problem with another club, but for me it was a good experience".
Now, Ronaldo is happy at Al Nassr. In his last game against Al Wehda, he scored four past his opponents in 40 minutos.
