The Portuguese striker has been a revelation this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 7 assists in the Premier League alone, with his performances deemed good enough for Wolves to splash out the £30 million required to bring him to the midlands on a permanent basis.

Jimenez was loaned to Wolves last season by Benfica, having failed to nail down a first team place at the Portuguese club. This had been the story for the previous three years for the Mexican, with his fortunes not helped by the fact he spent so much time as a substitute.

The striker has particuarly impressed against Manchester United, playing a vital role as Wolves beat the Red Devils twice in the past three weeks.

The signing will make him Wolves' most expensive player of all time, beating the £18 million spent on Adama Traore last summer.
