It has been an expensive season for Wolfsburg striker Max Kruse after he lost €75,000 in a taxi and then was fined by his club because they were disappointed with his behaviour.
Late last year Kruse reportedly lost €75,000 (£58,000) cash in a taxi after winning big at a poker tournament. Kruse immediately reported the incident to the police, but the cash is yet to resurface.
He was then subsequently fined by his club because they were disappointed with his behaviour. According to Bild Kruse was fined a total of €25,000 (£19,000).
Sporting director Klaus Allofs told Kicker, "We have explained to him what sort of behaviour we expect from our players. I can only hope that he has been taught a lesson and will change his behaviour."
