City full-back Kyle Walker believes winner of clash with Liverpool will be sure title favourites.

Whoever wins Sunday's clash between Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield will become the favourites for the Premier League title, according to 'Citizens' full-back Kyle Walker.

Both teams enter Sunday's contest with unbeaten records so far this season, and Manchester City and England full-back Kyle Walker has stated his belief that the victor of the contest will become title favourites this season.

Walker is hoping that he and his City teammates can make a statement in the match, but has acknowledged the clear competition posed by Klopp's Liverpool side.

In an interview with 'Sky Sports' before the match this weekend, Walker said: " It's early days in the Premier League but people can see Liverpool are contenders, just like we are, for the Premier League title with the money they've spent, the squad they've got and also the manager they've got. It's full credit to the manager for what he's done for Liverpool. He has transformed them into a title-challenging team year in, year out. I feel probably whoever wins at the weekend is going to get the bragging rights for being the bookies' favourite to go and lift the Premier League."

However as the interview digressed, Walker was keen to interate the belief that, although City and Liverpool are the clear challengers, other teams such as Chelsea are also in the running, saying:"That's not discarding Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester United, Arsenal or whoever else is going to be up there, but we're both going into the game undefeated and hopefully we can come out on top."

Walker also went on to admit that Liverpool, especially at Anfiled, are City's current 'Bogey team' of sorts, a record that the Manchester club want to rectify as qucikly as possible, saying: "It's a tough place to go; they were on fire last time we went, Salah was on fire, Mane and Firmino, and they've got some brilliant attacking players...We have to go there with a point to prove. Looking back on last season, they were our bogey team. Out of the four games, they beat us three times."

After enduring such a poor run of recent form against their Merseyside rivals, Walker and City will be hoping to allay this issue when they travel to Anfield for this campaign's first clash between the two sides at the weekend.
