Striker Callum Wilson tapped in from close range to give high flying Bournemouth the lead at home to Manchester United within the first 15 minutes of the game.

The 'Cherries' made a bright start in their home clash with Manchester United on Saturday, grabbing the lead within the first 15 minutes of the match courtesy of a Callum Wilson goal from close range.

Bournemouth entered the encounter in sixth place in the table, after achieving six wins out of their opening 10 matches of the campaign, with 2 draws and 2 defeats from the other four fixtures.

Howe's side have been bright, and the visit of Manchester United normally needs no encouragement, but the hosts imposed their passing game early on, and were rewarded with the opening goal.

The goal came from the second phase of a Bournemouth corner; after having dealt with the inital ball into the box, United failed to track the run of Stanislas, who darted into the channel and was found by a great pass from Lewis Cook.

Stanislas then proceeded to run the ball to the by line, before driving a low cross through the 'danger zone', the channel between the United back line and their goalkeeper David de Gea.

Ever-present and pestering Callum Wilson made an intelligent run back into the centre of the six yard box at the beginning of the move, arriving at the perfect time to smash the ball low into the corner past the helpless United goalkeeper.

And so, Bournemouth managed to capitalise on their early advantage by notching the goal that their play had thoroughly deserved.
