Wilshere to return at the weekend

Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere is preparing for a long-awaited comeback at Arsenal and that he will be available to face Sunderland on Sunday.

The 24-year-old has been out of action since June, but has been training well in recent weeks. 

Wenger told reporters, "Wilshere is available from the next game [Sunderland] onwards,

"He has absorbed his first obstacle well - he was sharper in every game and has a good fitness basis.

"Everyone from our last game against Palace is available.”
