Aritz Aduriz will put on the Athletic Bilbao for another season. After a season plagued by injury which did not let him perform at his best, the striker has still got challenges ahead.
It was Aduriz himself who confirmed that he was not sure whether to renew for another year or not. Finally, the 38 year-old reached a deal with Athletic Bilbao to play for another season.
Aduriz has got various targets for next season. With 390 games for Athletic under his belt, he will get to 400 games if he does not get injured. That said, he will struggle to get into the top ten as Julen Guerrero in 10th has 430 appearances to his name.
The striker, a typical goal poacher, has scored 171 goals for the club and he is the sixth highest scorer in the club's history. The next man in the list is Iraragorri, with 179.
Precisely his goals have been his main strength in his second spell at Athletic. Aduriz has scored against 48 different teams. He has scored the most against Valencia (11) followed by Levante and Celta (10) and Sevilla (9).
