West Brom playmaker Nacer Chadli is on the verge of a shock move to French giants AS Monaco after the two clubs agreed a fee for his services.

The Belgian has been looking for a new club since West Brom's relegation from the Premier League last season and with just a day to go until the transfer deadline in France he looks set to get his wish.

A fee believed to be in the region of £10m has been agreed between the two sides, with the 29-year-old expected to undergo a medical with the Monegasque side on Thursday.

Chadli joined West Brom from Tottenham in 2016, but a series of injuries have limited him to just 38 appearances for the 'Baggies'.

Despite featuring sparsely for his club, Chadli was included in Belgium's World Cup squad, impressing in an unfamiliar wing-back role to force his way into the side for the quarter-final victory over Brazil and the semi-final loss to France.

The deal will see West Brom take a slight hit on the then club-record £13m fee they paid for Chadli two years ago.
