The German footballer recently signed a contract renewal with RB Leipzig until 2023. It seemed that the rumours about his exit had stopped, but his new contract renewal has stipulations.

Timo Werner will remain at RB Leipzig until 2023... or so is stipulated in his clause at the moment.  The German club renewed the stars contract this Sunday until 2023 and the termination clause increased, scaring other clubs off him.

Although it was taken for granted that he was going to go to Bayern Munich in the near future, this renewal slows him down for the moment.

However, the international with the 'Mannschaft', which is one of the best rated players in the Bundesliga, signed a new agreement that has a trick.

From 2020, his termination clause will be progressively reduced from 60 million to 30, so it will not be difficult to remove him from the Leipzig team.

Thus, Werner could have renewed with the German team only on the pretext of being able to leave some more money in the coffers of the club that opted for his signing.

At 23-years-old, he has scored 21, 21 and 19 goals in his last three campaigns and has already got 2 in this campaign. It is almost inevitable that he will end up at Bayern Munich.
