Yann Sommer was in the press room ahead of Bayern Munich-Inter in the Champions League. The Swiss goalkeeper, happy to be back at the Allianz Arena, was critical of the schedule adopted by professional football this season.

Inter goalkeeper and former Bayern Munich player Yann Sommer, their next opponent in the Champions League quarterfinals, pointed to his team's bravery as a fundamental factor in conquering the Allianz Arena and returning to the San Siro with a favorable result.

"It's a very important duel for us, we have to be brave. They press high, aggressively, and they are very good. We have to play our game with the goal in mind to win this match," he told a press conference. Sommer spent one season with Bayern, the 2022-23 season, in which he won the Bundesliga.

"For me it's nice to be here, I'm happy to play for Inter to face Bayern in this nice stadium. I have good memories, we also wanted to win other titles, but I have enjoyed my stay here with my family and I am happy to see the Bayern people," he said.

Sommer, who was key in avoiding defeat to Parma in Serie A last time out, commented that Inter are performing better in Europe than in Italy this year. "We do better in the Champions League than in Serie A, where we need more energy and to be more solid. It's difficult to do well against us, even though we play every 3 days and it's not easy to be always fit, but we are Inter and we always want to win," he said.
