Waston scored Costa Rica's first goal with a towering header
It wasn't until the 56th minute of their final group match but Costa Rica finally managed to net their first goal of the 2018 World Cup through Kendall Waston.
Costa Rica were playing for pride in their final Group E game against Switzerland on Wednesday evening but that didn't stop them putting up a good fight.
They managed to cancel out a first-half goal from Blerim Dzemaili in the 56th minute to give themselves a great chance of going for victory.
Joel Campbell swerved a right-wing corner towards the six-yard line, where Waston shoved Manuel Akanji aside to flick an accomplished header into the corner to make it 1-1.
