Cardiff are in the relegation zone. They are now five points off Burnley, who are the team just outside the xone. Azpilicueta's goal sunk Cardiff, who had taken the lead through Camarasa. Chelsea equalised in the 84th minute and Loftus-Cheek won it seven minutes later.
The Cardiff manager, Neil Warnock, went mad: firstly, he confronted the opposite bench after the equaliser and then waited for the refereeing crew after the final whistle. He went to the middle of the pitch and stared at the officials for around 30 seconds. In that time, the only other things he did were applaud the crowd and shake Eden Hazard's hand.
Craig Pawson's assistant made a major blunder and the lack of VAR meant it went uncorrected. When Azpilicueta scores, he is miles offside. With VAR, the goal would have been disallowed very quickly.
Warnock even delayed his 'Sky Sports' interview because he needed time to calm down. And the thing is this error is very damaging for Cardiff, who needed the points in their battle against relegation.
