Reports in England claim that Arsenal's England international winger Theo Walcott could be the latest player to leave the club, with former side Southampton interested in bringing the 28-year-old home.

Walcott came through the academy at St Mary's and became Southampton's youngest ever player in 2005 when he made his debut at the age of just 16 years and 143 days.

The winger was one of the most highly-rated players in the country when he first joined Arsenal but his game time has slowly decreased season by season and has been further limited by the arrival of French international Alexandre Lacazette earlier this summer.

Walcott has made just three starts so far this season, with all of those coming in either the Europa League or the EFL Cup and it appears that Arsene Wenger may finally have lost patience with the 47-time England international.

The player has just 18 months remaining on his conract at the Emirates and English publication 'The Express' claims that Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino is keen on bringing the player home as he looks to add goals to a side that has found the net just five times in their first seven Premier League games of the season.

The 'Saints' envisage paying a fee of around £12-15m for the speedster, who could see the move as a way of forcing his way back into the England squad ahead of next summer's World Cup in Russia.
