Vinicius Junior said his goodbyes to Flamengo on Sunday, unable to hold back his emotions ahead of his impending move to Real Madrid.

The Brazilian starlet found himself emotionally moved following Flamengo's 2-0 victory over Parana on Sunday in what was his final appearance for the side.

The youngster has been called in for pre-season with parent club Real Madrid and couldn't hold back the tears as he said goodbye to the club's fans.

At the age of just 17, Vinicius once again reminded the wolrd of his love for Flamengo before setting off on his latest adventure. "I'm leaving the biggest club (Flamengo) to join the biggest club (Real Madrid)," he explained.

In the 1,423 minutes of action that Vinicius has seen this season, he has scored six goals and laid on three assists in 18 games, a respectable total for someone of such tender years and a fitting farewell as he prepares for the latest chapter in his career in Spanish football.
