Vini darts at Barca: "The new era"
Vinicius, a few minutes after winning the league title with Real Madrid, remembered Barcelona with a phrase said by Ronald Araujo in January 2023, when the Azulgrana club won the Spanish Super Cup.
Vinicius was proclaimed champion of the Spanish League with Real Madrid on Saturday. Through his social networks, he wanted to celebrate the title as well as send a message to all of Barcelona.
The Brazilian winger recalled the words of Ronald Araujo when the azulgrana side won the Spanish Super Cup 2023, a year and a half ago. On that occasion, the Uruguayan said: "We are starting a new era", which ended with the league title a few months later.
After winning Real Madrid's 36th league title, Vinicius sent the same message: "The new era", in response to a question about the titles of several players in the squad.
It is a message to Barcelona and to all the fans, who were eager to defend last year's great year but who, after this campaign, have left empty-handed.
