Thomas Tuchel has urged Timo Werner to move on and focus on the next game after the striker's difficult debut season at Chelsea took a turn for the worse with a big miss in their 1-1 draw at Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has spoken out in support of his compatriot Timo Werner following an important miss in his side's 1-1 draw in the Spanish capital - check out what he had to say here!

Despite securing an away goal and showcasing an impressive performance against CL giants Real Madrid, Chelsea will feel like they could have got more from the game - in particular during a half in which they were in electric form.

Timo Werner's miss was definitely one that got away, with the German unable to convert from six yards out due to a good stop from former-Blue Thibaut Courtois. A fine Karim Benzema volley pulled his side back in to the game, the match eventually finishing all-square.

The result sets up the second leg in Stamford Bridge nicely, as it is still all to play for for both sides. Marcelo is one RM player that could be missing from the match, as the Brazilian was called up for polling station duty!
