VIDEO: League 1 Brighton eliminate Man City on penalties
Brighton knocked out Manchester City from the 2008-09 League Cup after a penalty shoot-out victory. The Seagulls triumphed 5-3 on spot-kicks after the game finished 2-2.
In 2008, Brighton and Manchester City met in the Carling Cup and it was some contest.
The League 1 side first forced the game into extra-time after a 1-1 draw and then in extra-time, both teams scored again. On penalties, the Seagulls knocked out the recently taken over Man City side on penalties. Check out the best bits from the game in the video below!
