Gérson found the net for Flamengo with a stunning goal against Boavista in the 2020 State Championship. This was his second goal in that match, securing a 2-0 victory for Jorge Jesus' side.
Flamengo played Boavista in the Carioca Championship in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Pedro put Flamengo ahead after 36 minutes and then Gerson completed the victory for Jorge Jesus' men. Flamengo finished top with maximum points from five games and qualified for the play-offs while Boavista just missed out in third after getting seven points from five matches.
